Our Robot Journey 2018 - 2019
THE Triangle bot
(Meet 1: Pattonville)
Our first robot, with a square base and triangular sides, was rather simple and pushed elements to score.
The Zip Tie INTAKE
(Meet 2: Maryville University Bot Show)
This version has the same base as the triangle bot, but has several modifications. We added an intake system of zip-ties round an axel that could draw in game elements and roll the spherical elements. Instead of two triangular sides, we fitted on rectangular sides and back that provided more stability and a convenient place for the hub. We also added a panel so the marker didn't damage our robot when released.
The Latcher Tie
(EC Qualifier: Fox High School)
While similar to the Zip-Tie-Intake version, the Latcher-Tie included a latching mechanism. Instead of having a simple two-wheel drive, the Latcher-Tie version had a chain drive, making it more efficient and reliable.
